Disney World Trip

Happy New Year!

I know I’m a little late, being that it is already January 12th and all,  but I’ve been a little busy.

We spent the New Year, and my husbands big 40th Birthday in Disney World.

We had such a great time.

The best part was watching these two boys of mine having the time of their lives.

We were there for five whole days.  We spent one day at each of the parks and then park hopped on the last day.

My favorite of all of the parks is Animal Kingdom. It’s like the biggest, coolest zoo ever!

My husband did all of the planning and organizing, which was so wonderful. He really took care of everything, all I had to do was pack our bags, that is why this post is not about the planning, but rather just sharing a few favorite pictures.

However,  I think if you are planning a trip to Disney World the top 3 must are: to get on the meal plan, squeduale all of your fast passes for the busiest rides, and customize your wrist bands and have them sent to you ahead of time.

Our Top 10 Favorite things at Disney World

1. My favorite ride: Soarin (Epcot)

2. Liam (age 8)  favorite ride: Star Tours (Hollywood Studios)

3. Jax (age 5) favorite ride: It’s a small World (Magic Kingdom)

4. Jake (age 40) favorite ride: Everest Expedition (Animal Kingdom)

5. My favorite park: Animal Kingdom

6. Favorite attraction at Animal Kingdom: The Safari ride.

7. Other favorite attractions: Fantasmic (Hollywood Studios)

8. Favorite firework show: New Year’s Eve at Hollywood studios (even though it was a few minutes late)

9. Favorite meal: Cobb salad at Brown Derby (Hollywood Studios) however, every meal we ate was fantastic.

10 favorite snack:  Mickey ice cream bars, Yummy!

It truly was a trip we will remember forever.

Not only did I get to share it with my family, but Jake’s mother, uncle and his boyfriend came along as well.

We all had such a great time.

Now that we’re back home, I’m excited to start some painting and decorating projects…..my project wish list for 2014 is a long one.

Thanks for stopping by,

Have a Wonderful New Year!

Emily

Happy New Year! Sounds like a great family time. Happy Birthday to your husband too. We had a Disney World vacation in 2008 with our then young boys and stayed at Wilderness Lodge and park hopped. A wonderful and memorable trip we talk about to this day, even remembering the sweltering heat of July and rain.

Our favorite park is Epcot but Animal Kingdom is a close second!

What a great way to celebrate your hubby! I would love to go for my next birthday. We last went about 8 years ago! Yikes. I adored animal kingdom too!
