Halloween Entryway

On Friday the 13th my boys and I decorated for Halloween.

Most of our decorations ended up in our entryway, and I have to say, I think it turned out pretty cute and so I wanted to share it with you today.

Now when I say my boys and I, I really just mean I decorated and my boys watched 🙂

But that’s not my fault.  I wanted them to have fun and decorate, but they just don’t seem to enjoy it as much as I do. They did however, have a lot of fun pulling out the decorations from the bins and reminiscing over it all. But other than placing a few things around the house, they left the decorating up to me.

Which is fine because then I could do my thing and create a fun, cohesive display. I like to keep the decoration contained in one area and not scattered all over the house, which I think always tends to makes the house feel too cluttered and a bit chaotic.

So all of our decorations are just ones we’ve collected over the years, mostly purchased at the Dollar Tree. Nothing is new this year.

Although this window frame is new, well obviously it’s not new it’s actually really old, but it’s new to me.  Some friends of mine gave it to me when they were cleaning out their shed.  I did a little makeover to it and will be sharing more about it another time.

In the window panes and in the basket on the shelf  below are some spooky Polaroid pictures I took a few years ago.  At the end of this post I’ll share a link where you can print some off for yourself. I’ve really had fun decorating with these over the years.

Apparently, rubber snakes, rats, bats, mice and flies are what I think are scary, since that is what most of our decorations consist of.  What types of Halloween decorations do you mostly collect?

So that is about the gist of our Halloween decorating for the season.

What do you think?

Thanks for stopping by,

Emily
