Creating A Margarita Bar & A Refreshing Kiwi Lime Margarita Recipe

With the warmer weather that spring and summer brings, always calls for the delight of a cold refreshing drink. My favorite cold drink has got to be a nice crisp margarita. What about you, Do you also love a good margarita? If you answered yes, then today’s post is especially for you!

With the help of my friends at Pavilion Gift, I have created a festive margarita bar in our dining room filled with everything you need to make yourself a drink, along with the cutest bar accessories.

And at the end of this post, I’m sharing a delicious Kiwi Lime Margaritarecipe that I whipped up special just for you.

I love the idea of a Margarita Bar and having all the ingredients needed to make this tasty cold drink together in one spot.  This is especially a fun  idea for any parties or gatherings you might be planning for, and don’t forget,  Cinco De Mayo is coming up here shortly.

Pavilion Giftcarries a new lifestyle line called, Livin’ on the Wedge. This brand carries products and apparel for those who like to take the wedge off as well as those who like to live in the lime light 🙂 I have picked out a few zesty drink wear to add to my margarita bar

These little drink glasses are full of attitude! They read, “When Life Gives You Limes Add Tequila” and “When Life Gives You Limes Make A Drink” These durable glasses are the perfect size and easy to hold, but what’s neat is that they also double as a tea light candle holders.

My Margarita bar also needed a few tea towels to dry my hands off after cutting up limes.

These towels come in a matching set with the one above and the second one with an adorable lime wedge pattern.  They were packaged up really cute with a ribbon, so if you are ever looking for a party host gift, these would be perfect!

Another thing every margarita bar needs is a cute cutting board for slicing up all of those lime wedges.

This one is double sided. The white side if for cutting on, and the patterned side is for serving on.

Okay, now that I’ve shared all of the details of my Margarita Bar, it’s time to get down to the most important part; The Margaritas!

Now, I find that margaritas can sometimes be a bit too sweet for my liking, so I decided to use limeade instead of your typical margarita mix. The limeade adds a fresh crisp taste without the extra sweetness.

Ingredients:

– crushed ice

-silver tequila

-limeade

-kiwi

-lime

To make individual margarita,

fill  1/4 of a glass with crushed ice.  Add 1 shot of silver tequila into glass. Peel and cut (even mash a bit) 1/2 of kiwi and add to glass. cut 1/2 of a lime into slices and add to glass. Fill remainder of glass up with limeade. Mix and garnish with a lime slice.

The kiwi is settle but adds something surprising to this margarita.

I hope you like this recipe.

Cheers!

Squeeze the day and never stop livin’ on the wedge!
