Decorating the Patio for the 4th of July

* I Love the 4th of July *

 Every year we always get together with family and celebrate with a barbecue, egg hunt, and fireworks. . . . Yes, I said egg hunt, My family is a little odd, but we have lots of fun.

In anticipation of all the fun festivities, I decided to decorate our back patio in Red, White & Blue.

I covered the cushion of my wicker loveseat in a blue canvas fabric.  I then layered it with white and red pillows, all from Ikea. The blue stripped rugs that I have layered on the ground are from Ikea as well.

I shared how I made the flag candle jar in my last post, HERE.

The red door works well with the theme.

 However, I plan to paint it sometime this summer, along with our front door, which is also red.

 And lastly, I just cut up some watermelon with a star cookie cutter. My boys loved this idea,

they are pretty easy to please.

 Hope you are all enjoying your weekend.

Thanks for stopping by,

Emily*

    I just love the jar with the flag and rope as a candle holder. Just a precious front porch. The red door looks great too!

    Love the pictures you posted with the gray sofa and they are lovely! I think gray would be a good choice too, especially if you "live" in that room. I'm sure whatever you decide will look beautiful.
