My Bedroom 3 Different Ways

Today’s post is a long one,  but I am so excited to share it with you.

Over at Jennifer Rizzo, She and 6 other talented blogger’s have been  sharing a room in their homes, 3 different ways, simply by “shopping” their own homes.

It’s been tons of fun seeing all of the different looks.

Catch upHERE

Today on Jennifer Rizzo’s blog she is hosting a 1 room, 3 ways Restyled space link party.

It looked like so much fun that I wanted to join in.

So I have chosen to makeover my bedroom in my 3 favorite styles; Coastal, Cottage and Farmhouse.

Farmhouse:

For my Farmhouse look, I have brought in a comfy, floral quilt and thrown it over my bed for a kinda messy, “I may hop back into it in a little bit”, look.

I’ve also decorated the room with a burlap lampshade, a couple of wooden crates, a ginger jar lamp, a few extra crocheted blankets, and a pair of cowgirl boots.

The brick chimney lends the perfect Farmhouse accessories

Coastal:

For my Coastal look,  I have made my bed up with navy and white striped sheets, and other nautical bedding including my Whale pillow from HERE.  I’ve also brought in my jute twine window curtains, a seashell mirror, a wicker lampshade,  a sailboat picture, a boat light fixture, an old trunk, and a mix of seashells.

Cottage

For my Cottage look,  I first started with making the bed up in some happy yellow vintage sheets.

I also switched out the window curtains for some white pom pom trimmed ones.  I’ve hung up a wicker mirror and white carved plaque.  An old chippy stool with a wicker tray now works as a side table.  I brought in my white bench at the foot of the bed.  Then some other small touches complete this look.

In my bedroom I have also created a little closet area.

My clothes hang from an antique department store clothes carousel.

It’s really cool to give it a spin and pick out something to wear.

So which look is your favorite??

Thanks for stopping by,

Emily

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I love what you have done! I was so looking forward to this series to learn how to switch up different styles with the same sort of basic pieces–and you have done this brilliantly! There's just enough different (bedside tables, lamps, accessories, bedding) and enough the same (the bed itself, pale colours, the position of the furniture, the architecture, wall colour) that I can "see" how you have expressed each "look" in a distinct and highly personal way. Love your space–great necklace hanger–and that's a very cool "closet!"

I just love them all but the cottage is my favorite. Your clothes rack is just perfect. Mine would never do – black- black and more black. I love the lace coverlets stacked under your night table. So happy I dropped by. Kathy

Like others, I think all of those designs worked well! I think the coastal was my favorite, however. I have a thing for blue and white 🙂

They are all so pretty, but I love the farmhouse! And I am totally jealous of the exposed brick in your bedroom. 🙂

The farmhouse look is my favorite look. The quilt is wonderful. The little boots are an awesome added touch. It really sets the mood. The coastal look does remind me a bit of a beach bum vibe. The cottage look is simple. All of the looks would work great.
