My Winter Wonderland Christmas Mantel

I have been having so much fun decorating my home for Christmas.

Today I am going to share my Winter Wonderland mantel with you.

It all started with these stick stars I made . . . . and I made lot’s of them! I put a few of them on my mantel and the rest on my Christmas tree.  I’ll share how to make them with ya soon.

I originally had a bunch more of the stick stars on my mantel, some that were really large, but I just wasn’t feeling it,  so I took them all down and started over.

I also made a couple garlands.  One with plastic snowflakes and the other with pine cones.  I threaded some twine through the snowflakes and tied the pine cones onto the twine on the other.

I love the whimsy look they give.

I have been collecting pine cones all year.  Every time we go camping or to anywhere that has a ton of big pine cones, I usually always bring a bag full home.  I filled up my crate with them here.

I had a lot of fun with these plastic snowflakes,  I have them hanging all over the house.

I brought in a wreath, tied it up with a smaller berry wreath and a plaid bow, then I hung it on an old window.

I brought in some logs to use as candle holders,  you may remember I had these on my Christmas mantel last year,  I like the added warmth they bring in.

And then I went crazy making Waterless Snow globes.  I just took old jars, dollar store tree’s, and a bag of super-fine crystal fake snow and assembled them using hot glue.

I placed them at various heights using some white candle holders.

Then I also sprinkled some fluffy fake snow here and there on my mantel.

Here is a little sneak peak at the rest of the room.

I can’t wait to share that with ya next time.

 Enjoy the Season!

Emily
